Parking Permits
Fall 2025: Permits will be Available for Purchase SEPTEMBER 2
- You must be a registered student to purchase an Annual/Semester Parking Permit. Daily permits can be purchased by anyone at kiosks in the parking lots.
- Purchase and pay for your Annual/Semester Permit online. The link will be available on this page on September 2.
- There will be a grace period for Student Permits until September 15. After this date, parking citations will be issued.
- Enforcement of Staff Parking Lots will begin on September 2, as these areas are designated for staff use only.
- All permits will be mailed. Allow 7-10 days for mailing.

Refund Deadlines
To receive a refund for Fall 2025 Parking Permits, all courses must be dropped by September 15.
Permits must be returned to the Admissions and Records Office. No partial refunds will be given.
Parking Rules & Traffic Regulations
- Parking Permits Required: All vehicles must display a current permit or purchase a daily permit from a permit dispenser in the parking lot.
- Designated Parking: Park only in designated areas and marked stalls.
- Towing Risk: Unauthorized parking may result in vehicle towing at the owner's expense.
- Permit Display: Properly display current permits to avoid citation.
- Staff Parking: Staff spaces require a valid staff parking permit.
- Accessibility: Only vehicles with DMV-issued disability plates or placards may use disabled parking.
- Visitor Parking: Free 30-minute parking in designated spaces in Lot D (next to Student Services).
- Bicycle and Motor-Driven Bikes: Park in designated areas and walk bikes on campus.
- Speed Limit: Maintain a speed limit of 15 miles per hour on campus.

Citations:
- Violation of Rules will be subject to citation by MPC Security or Monterey Police.
- The vehicle owner is responsible for all citations. Citations must be cleared within 21 days and won't be voided on campus.
Payment Plan
- Those with multiple unpaid citations may file a request for monthly installments up to $25 for total amounts under $500.
- Unpaid penalties and fees must be paid within 24 months.
- Must request for payment plans within 120 days of violation notice or 10 days following the administrative hearing determination.
