Studying Japanese is a gateway into a rich culture and a modern society that powers the world’s fourth-largest economy. In MPC’s Japanese program, you’ll prepare to interact appropriately with Japanese-speaking people and build a foundation for further studies in languages, linguistics, or global affairs.

Discovering a New Path
Studying Japanese at MPC changed my entire career path. I was intellectually challenged
in a way that I had never been. The teachers supported my educational desires. After
transferring to CSUMB I changed my major from anthropology to Japanese and since then
I’ve moved to Japan and am currently pursuing another degree in a Japanese university
while working as an English teacher.
